Dr. Pasquale is a Board Certified Diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology, Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, a member of the American Society of Cataract Refractive Surgery and member of the Maryland Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons.


Dr. Pasquale specializes in small incision, no stitch, no needle cataract surgery using advanced intraocular lenses, techniques, and technologies to optimize vision.  In many cases, this combination can provide Dr. Pasquale’s patients excellent distance and near vision and may reduce or eliminate their dependency on glasses.

Dr. Pasquale is a highly experienced refractive surgeon having performed thousands of Laser Vision Correction procedures including PRK and Custom Intralase LASIK as part of the Department of Defense Warfighter Laser Eye Surgery Program.  In addition to offering Laser Vision Correction, Dr. Pasquale offers comprehensive ophthalmology care to include annual eye exams for patients of all ages, glaucoma and diabetic screening exams and treatment and aesthetic services including blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery).

Prior to joining Ophthalmology Associates Dr. (Colonel) Pasquale retired from the United States Air Force after 25 years of service.  His last assignment was as Commander of the Department of Surgery at Andrews AFB, MD.  Dr. Pasquale received his undergraduate degree from the United States Air Force Academy and his Medical Degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences School of Medicine, Bethesda, Maryland.  He completed his Ophthalmology Residency at Wilford Hall Medical Center, Lackland Air Force Base located in San Antonio, TX.  Dr. Pasquale has also served as the Chief of Ophthalmology at Andrews AFB, as an Air force Command Refractive Surgery Consultant providing consultation and advice on refractive surgery in the Air Force.  Dr. Pasquale served three tours of duty in Iraq as a flight surgeon, ophthalmologist, and Hospital Commander.  For the last 15 years, Dr. Pasquale has served as a Clinical Associate Professor of Ophthalmology for the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences School of Medicine training future military ophthalmologists and other physicians in the care of eye disease and ocular surgery.  He is regarded as a highly accomplished and experienced refractive surgeon, cataract surgeon, and clinician.
